Don't Wipe My Face!!!

I think he saw me coming at him with his washcloth, about to wipe off all of his hard "squash" work...

Ashton's First Park Visit!

Grammie and Papa came and visited two weekends ago (on April 11th-13th) and we took Ashton to a nearby park. He LOVED the swing and sliding down the slide with mommy.

Easter in the Mountains

Below are a few pics from our Mountain trip, this past Easter. We had a wonderful time visiting family and relaxing in the beautiful Cattail Creek community. We also got to see our newly purchased property!! Ashton was crawling everywhere (his new trick at the time) and was quite the hit (of course)! It was great to visit and catch up with everyone.

The Tongue Master

Ashton has mastered the art of sticking out his tongue. The two bottom pictures are actually backdated from February. The top one was from a recent trip to the park. You can also see quite a bit of his tongue handiwork in the slideshow from the previous post...

The Hat Saga Continues...

I seriously hope he does not resent me for this when he is a teenager...

Sorry, Ashton!

Ashton, about to yank on Jackson's collar.

Oh! I have let this blog go too too too long. OK, so once again, I have some catching up to do. But seriously, only because I have the single most BUSY 6 month old! He is all over the place; rolling, scooting, faux-crawling (it will not be long), and reaching for anything that he can get. Ashton is oh so curious. He wants to see, feel, listen to, and TASTE everything. And I mean everything. John and I have quickly learned that he cannot be left alone on his playmat anymore. He can actually scoot to the other side of the room in about 30 seconds. Tonight, as I was sitting with him on his quilt that Pema made him, he was playing with his toys and I was reading my weekly People Magazine. It was time to take my squash and zucchini bake out of the oven, so I ran into the kitchen and set the casserole on top of the oven. In the 60 seconds that it took, Ashton had torn my magazine into about one hundred pieces. He had two huge fistfuls of it and was working on getting one of the fistfuls into his mouth. He looked so proud of himself.

Grandad's 70th Birthday in St. Pete

For my Grandad's 70th birthday, Ashton and I drove down to St. Pete with Grammie and Papa to help surprise him with a birthday dinner at Carrabba's. Daddy had to go back to Houston for work, but since I was off through the new year, we decided to stay and make the short trek down to St. Pete. We had a wonderful time celebrating with our family and spending the night on the beach.

Another animal hat...

The first post that I ever posted on this blog was about all of the animal hats that I put Ashton in. I'm still doing it...

Ashton and Great-Great-Aunt Jane

We had the BEST Christmas. John, Ashton, Jackson, Emily and myself made the trek to Tallahassee (via car) on December 21st. We actually made great time for traveling with an infant and a 70 pound lab. We split our time between Grammie and Papa's (my parents) and Mamaw's (John's mom) homes. Ashton received lots of wonderful presents from Santa Claus, including books, developmental toys, clothes, and the best gift of all, the "Jumperoo". We spent Christmas morning at Grammie and Papa's and then headed out to Monticello to see Grandaddy (John's dad), Aunt Ren and Uncle John, cousin Kayla, and Ashton's Great Grandma Kerr. Christmas evening we spent at Aunt KK and Uncle Marty's house with all of Ashton's Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Mamaw. We had such a wonderful time visiting with family and friends and relaxing in our hometown. Above are some totally random pictures from our trip...
